Bus Seat Belt Regulation
This is guidance from the bus company we are using for bus trips. The law states that any person over the age of 14 travelling on a coach must wear a seat belt where one is available however any child under 14 years does not have to wear a seat belt. All their vehicles are fitted with seat belts and advise any child falling into this younger category to wear a seat belt if this can be fitted safety. Parents with young children can bring their own booster seats which can be fixed with the lap or 3 diagonal belts, please bear in mind that there are no size adjustments to the seat belts as there are in cars. Their vehicles do not have ISOFIX fixings for child seats. Please be advised that the bus company does not provide car seats or booster seats. |
